Excavating rock art in Strath Tay day 10: We abandon site in the teeth of Storm Ali

The priority today was to record features in the main trench before they are excavated further. Additional digging becomes impossible in the torrential rain, and the drawing became increasingly difficult in the gale force wind. At lunchtime we abandoned the site to the weather.

The 2018 excavations in Strath Tay were co-directed by Richard Bradley and Aaron Watson, assisted by Ronnie Scott and Moyra Simon. Many thanks to the landowner and estate staff for their support.
